Metalcraft by DeZine are handcrafted brass and copper metal art components of high quality. Each piece is formed by hand, burnished, polished and then dipped in an anti-tarnish lacquer. Africans have used copper and brass for self-adornment since 500 B.C. These creations are inspired by the Ndebele culture and capture the spirit of the African continent.

These pieces are made in a small village in South Africa by local craftspeople, utilizing Fair Trade Standards. Under the fair trade philosophy, approximately 100 members of the community are provided meaningful employment that sustains their families. In addition to the economic benefits provided by a steady job, these villagers get on-going training and education in life-skills including computer literacy, personal finance, first aid and family health. A portion of the profits from the sale of the pieces is contributed each year to support other programs, which in turn improve conditions in a variety of regions in Africa.
